For Bostons not in BTRNC foster care
Molly here and I'm still looking for my forever home! I was taken in as a stray by my Foster Mom last summer. I am a beautiful intelligent 1 year 6 month old girl (approximately) who is up to date on all vaccinations, heart worm negative and spayed! Additionally I was house trained from the first day (although I will sometimes get a little worried and fear pee)! I am not a huge fan of going into my crate at first but do very well after I have gotten some energy out on a nice long walk. I take my backpack with me on my walks so that I can get all of that young pup energy out! Also you could potentially bribe me to go into my house with some treats in a Kong…just a suggestion! I am not sure what I am a mixture of but perhaps German Shepherd and Hound? Who knows? I have a very strong prey drive for squirrels and bunnies though! I am thought to be best in a home with no other dogs. The reason for this is that there was a supposed altercation between me and a house mate, while at the kennel, back in October 2013. The details are unknown and I don't consider myself aggressive at all! After all I walk by other dogs all of the time with no aggression as well as play lots of tug-of-war with my housemate Boston Terrier! It is a matter of precaution though in order to keep all dogs safe, me included! To date, there has been no other signs of aggression. I know I look like a girly girl here but I really love to run, play tug of war and fetch and chase squirrels! I would do super great in a home where I am the only dog and get all of the love that any dog can deserve!! I consider myself a bit of a lap dog, although you may be able to tell that I am pushing 50 lbs. :) I will tell you that any home I go to will need to provide a veterinary reference, have a home visit by a rescue organization & will only go live with families that will keep me living inside with them so I can play and snuggle and be around my people! Additional pluses would be a fenced back yard so that I can roam and stay on the path of any bunnies that come into my yard!
I hope to hear from you soon, you will be making the best decision ever!! To get in touch with me, contact my Foster Mom: Ashley Laws - 828-302-9117 / email@example.com and/or Foster Dad: David Ribeiro - 413-335-5063 / firstname.lastname@example.org
We are courtesy posting Gracie Mae for Alabama Boston Terrier Rescue www.abtr.org Gracie Mae is a nine month old special needs girl. She is just the sweetest thing and very easy to care for. Gracie is a very feisty and fearless little girl who plays either by herself or with other dogs. She loves to sit in her foster mom's lap which makes computer work a challenge! Gracie Mae has special needs- she has no control over her bowels or bladder but there is an easy solution- infant diapers! They fit her just fine and she likes them covered with pretty panties so she can frolic around the house with no problem! Miss Gracie gets her diaper changed as often as you would a baby and she expects her diaper to be taken off before she goes outside and waits eagerly for you to help her. When she comes inside, she expects to be picked up and stands patiently for a new diaper to be put on. Gracie Mae is very accepting of her condition and needs an understanding family to meet her special needs. Gracie is also crate trained and loves balls. She has already learned to return them! Gracie Mae is a delight! A cuddly, yet independent puppy. You will find yourself carrying her around even if you had not meant to! Gracie Mae is currently undergoing physical therapy and acupuncture. Please contact Evelyn email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org for any interest in Gracie Mae.
